To whom it may concern,

My name is Carl Cryer, I am the Head Coach at Capital SP Academy in Spruce Grove. I have known Morgan for around 3 years. I began coaching her in a team setting, then went on to 1 on 1 skill development sessions. As time went on, Morgan grew more confident as a player, and she was able to take more responsibility in a coaching role. She has been volunteering her time with Capital SP to help younger players in our programs with their skill development. She is committed to using her time at home to plan sessions and use her experiences as a player and goal keeper to help our young players. Morgan shows up early and is always willing to help prepare and carry out drills with small groups of players.

Sincerely,

Carl Cryer

To Whom It May Concern:

As a coach specializing in goalkeeping, working for many organizations throughout the Edmonton area (including Spruce Grove Saints, Northside United, Selects FC, and RESC), I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Morgan Lea.

I have had the pleasure of coaching Morgan for over one and a half years, from U13 to U15, to develop her goalkeeping skills. During this time, Morgan has been a paragon of dedication and professionalism in regards to her training attitude. She has never been late to a session, nor shied away from putting in the hard work required to refine her skills. Her commitment to bettering herself shows in every session, consistently displaying a high level of focus, determination, and resilience. She is extremely coachable and takes every bit of insight given, but is not afraid to ask questions to make sure she understands concepts if needed. She shows a maturity beyond her years that is required between the sticks, but also aids her to be a great person off the pitch as well.

Although Morgan displays many great strengths, two stood out for me at our first couple sessions. Morgan’s kicking from hands was exceptional before I started coaching her, and has now been refined to be more accurate, even at the great distance she can kick. Secondly, she is a true modern keeper in her ability with her feet. She is confident in her ability to pass a ball around the back as well as launching counterattacks to keep the opposition on their feet. Her shot stopping is also remarkable, having a natural athleticism that means she is fast and light on her feet.

In conclusion, I have no hesitation in recommending Morgan Lea as a highly talented and extremely dedicated goalkeeper with a ton of potential. With her professionalism, dedication, and coachability, she can excel at the highest levels. In my opinion, at her current level, and with previous university experience myself, she could step into a university game at 15 and hold a good account of herself. I am confident that she will make a significant and positive impact on any team she joins, and I wholeheartedly endorse her for any future opportunities in soccer.

Please feel free to contact me if you require any further information regarding Morgan's abilities or performance.

Sincerely,

To Whom it may concern,

I served as a coach for Spruce Grove Saints (SGSA) as well as a Coach at Viktoria Soccer Club in the EMSA league. Morgan Lea was a team member of the 2008 SGSA Girls team, of which I was the head coach. From a very early age Morgan showed a true love of soccer which has always translated into complete commitment, she is always keen to listen, learn and improve, takes advice very well and her fitness level is exceptional. She is a humble team member and was a leader (captain) on the side which reached Provincials on numerous occasions. Morgan’s skill level, work ethic, and commitment to be her very best, throughout her tenure with the Saints as well as at Vik. She is a pleasant, hardworking young lady and I sincerely endorse her application for any team or organization. She is a pleasure to coach, and no one outworks her.
